A Place of Prayer Community Outreach is a nonprofit organization that exists to meet people where they are; offering food, essentials, Economic and Life skills Programs, spiritual encouragement, and connection to resources that restore dignity and hope. We serve alongside local shelters, warming centers, churches, and community partners across Rockford, IL

We are committed to strengthening individuals and families by connecting them with practical resources, opportunities, and support that promote stability and self-sufficiency. Our mission is to help remove barriers to employment, education, financial well-being, and personal advancement through individualized guidance,
community partnerships, workshops, and access to trusted local resources. We serve individuals and families throughout the community, meeting people where they are and helping them take meaningful steps toward a more stable and sustainable future.

Navigating available resources can be overwhelming. We provide personalized guidance and support, helping individuals identify and access the proper help for housing, food and healthcare services they need.
